Hello everyone, I am Tang Lu, Chairman of the Shenzhen Vanke Education Development Foundation. Thank you for your trust. I deeply feel that our mission is glorious and our responsibility is significant. I settled in Shenzhen in 1990. This is my 25th year living in this city and also my 25th year working at Vanke. I have witnessed Shenzhen develop from a small fishing village to a modern international metropolis, and a company grow from a few dozen people to the world's largest residential developer. Because of my passion, I chose a city and company that I love, which is a kind of happiness. I was fortunate to participate in the growth of Shenzhen and Vanke. In the year of Vanke's establishment in 2014, we firmly established a new strategic transformation from an "urban development operator" to an "urban supporting service provider". Vanke will not only focus on the development and construction of high-quality residential projects, but also be committed to investment, construction, and operation of education, business, medical and other supporting facilities, bringing more mature living facilities to urban living.
Education is the foundation of a century long plan, and the cause of education is a great achievement that benefits the present and the future. In response to the high standard and high-quality education development requirements of Shenzhen, as well as the call for educational reform and innovation, Vanke will establish an education foundation with industry-leading development capabilities, honest and transparent business philosophy, flexible and innovative management models, and strong corporate responsibility. With the Vanke Education Development Foundation as the platform, Vanke will fully build municipal education supporting schools, adhering to the purpose of "non-profit" and "public welfare education", establish an education foundation, introduce high-quality educational resources, and work together with the government to create a new type of high-level public schools, adding bricks and tiles to Shenzhen's education industry and adding flowers to the urban economic development.
I have been working in talent development at Vanke for over a decade, and I am also the mother of a 14-year-old boy. I deeply understand how important enlightenment education is for the growth of young people. I have a dream, hoping to work with a group of like-minded and passionate partners to build the Vanke Education Development Foundation into a professional and standardized educational public welfare institution, so that more children can grow up happily under a sunny and healthy education system. The foundation also requires your attention and participation. Every encouragement and help from everyone will become our driving force to continue moving forward.
